Baltimore residents can dispose of household hazards during waste disposal days from DPW

BALTIMORE — Baltimore residents can dispose of household hazardous waste next Friday and Saturday at a designated drop-off point in the city.

Household Hazardous Waste drop-offs will be accepted at the Northwest Citizens’ Convenience Center, at 2840 Sisson Street from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 7 and 8, said Baltimore City Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow.

The site will hold additional drop-off days during the first consecutive Friday and Saturday of each month between April and October. Remaining drop-off days include July 5-6 and August 2-3, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., as well as Sept. 6-7 and Oct. 4-5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The drop-off days allow residents to dispose of household goods like oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, car and household batteries, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, etc. More information about waste disposal and recycling can be found on the DPW website.
