Baltimore's Rental Assistance Program launches Thursday, June 27

The Baltimore City Community Action Partnership (CAP) is launching its Rental Assistance Program on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

It's hosting an intake event at the Morgan State University Student Center located at 1700 East Cold Spring Ln, 21251.

The program is meant to help qualifying residents in Baltimore with a court-ordered eviction on or after July 12, 2019.

Funds from the program will provide those families with stable housing.

Families can register for the intake event by going to BCCAPRentalAssistanceProgram.eventbrite.com.

There are two intake sessions: one at 8:30 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m.

You must register for one of the sessions; walk-ins aren't welcome.

Residents also have to bring copies of the following documents for all household members:

• Photo ID
• Social Security Card
• Copy of Current Lease (signed by the landlord and tenant)
• Landlord Contact InformationResid
• Proof of Income (received in the last 30 days)
• Eviction Notice or Warrant of Restitution (eviction date must be on or after July 12, 2019)
