BALTIMORE — After taking in more than 100 new animals in the past two days, BARCS is waiving all adoption fees at their 301 Stockholm Street shelter now through Sunday.

The influx of the new animals has caused the shelter to run out of space. They say that "large influx of stray and surrendered animals quickly creates an urgent situation."

If you would like to adopt, their shelter is located at 301 Stockholm St and is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend.

Because of this, Lyft is offering free rides to the shelter for those interested or planning to adopt an animal. Code BARCS can be applied in the Lyft app for 1 free ride (up to $10) for up to 100 people.
