BALTIMORE — Artists used their talents to express what it's like for them to be immigrants at the Maryland Institute College of Art on Tuesday.

The event, "Being an Immigrant Artist in the age of Trump" was inspired by a social media post of one of the artists on the panel and President Trump's travel ban.

The panel of four talked about their experiences and how they expressed themselves through their artwork.

"Obviously the country is divided," said artist Guadalupe Maravilla. "So there are perspectives from people that support me and people that are against my political views."

Each artist also spent the day on campus giving individual artists talks and working with MICA students.
