Black Mental Health Alliance hosts youth mental health and wellness summit

BALTIMORE — This week, the Black Mental Health Alliance is hosting a free 5 day youth mental health and wellness summit in Baltimore, to celebrate the resilience and power of black youth while addressing the daily challenges they face.

Attendees will engage with thought leaders and partners from across the city, have open discussions and participate in interactive activities.

"Everyday this week starting yesterday we will be at different locations and inviting young people between the ages of 14 and 25 to come in and hear about a different topic," said Jan Desper Peters, Executive Director of the Black Mental Health Alliance.

You can attend the summit at 10 West North Avenue, Suite 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Friday, there will be a conference setting event at the Inn at the Colonnade on West University Parkway.

The Black Mental Health Alliance will be giving away backpacks stocked with school supplies.
