The body of a 45-year-old graduate student at Morgan State University was found inside a campus building Tuesday, Baltimore Police said.
No foul play is suspected. There was no sign of trauma on the body.
A Morgan State spokesman said the body was found inside the Center for the Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies. His identity has not been released, pending notification of his next of kin.
Morgan State officials released a statement Tuesday afternoon, saying "the university is saddened to report the death of a member of its family."
Officers responded to the 1700 block of E. Coldspring Lane around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday following a report of a foul odor coming from a room.
Maintenance workers discovered the body, and officers pronounced the student dead
Police said the man last entered the building on Aug. 4 and hadn't been seen or heard from since.
Homicide detectives are investigating. A cause of death will be determined by a pending autopsy. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2100.
