Death of baby dropped on head ruled a homicide

The death of a 10-month-old boy believed to have been dropped on his head was ruled a homicide Wednesday.

On May 25 at 11:00 p.m., Baltimore Police responded to an area hospital for a report of possible child abuse. Officers arrived to find Kahlil Cannady of the 2300 block of Calverton Heights suffering from trauma to the head.

Police believe the boy may have been dropped by his 10-year-old sister while she gave him a bath.

Cannady died from his injuries on September 24.
