BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police detectives are looking for leads in a May 12 hit and run that killed 70-year-old William E. Green.

Police were initially called to Shock Trauma around 6:20 p.m., after medics had brought Green in following the crash. He died a short time later.

Investigators learned that Green was crossing the eastbound lane of the Route 40 expressway, at N. Poppleton Street, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. After being hit, Green, who had been walking with a cane, came to a rest in the center lane as passing vehicles drove around him.
