BPD looking for truck, driver involved in hit and run that killed 60-year-old pedestrian

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are looking for the driver and truck involved in a hit and run that killed a 60-year-old pedestrian Tuesday night in East Baltimore.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Bonaparte Avenue.

Detectives believe the victim was walking eastbound in the street when he was hit from behind by a silver pickup truck.

The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins where he later died. His name hasn't been released.

After the collision the truck reportedly kept going and was last seen heading towards Harford Road.

Police think the truck may have damage to the passenger side headlight.
