BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police say they arrested a suspect within hours following a Monday homicide.

Dontrell Toliver, 20, was shot around 9:30 a.m. in the 400 block of N. Montford Avenue. He died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Detectives were able to identify 33-year-old Keith Gladden as the suspect, and arrested him Tuesday at his home in the 2300 block of Madison Street.

Police haven't released a motive for the shooting.

Gladden remains in Central Booking where he is being held without bail on first degree murder charges.
