JP Morgan Chase will be hosting a virtual graduation to honor 2020 graduates from numerous HBCUs all across America.

The event, which is called "Show Me Your Walk HBCU Edition," will be livestreamed on Saturday on Chase's Twitter and YouTube channels starting at 2 p.m.

Morgan State University Graduating Senior, Keyon Grayson, says that he and his fellow classmates were not happy when they found out that their commencement celebration had been canceled due to COVID-19.

"Initially, it was a state of shock and a lot of disappointment," said Grayson. "We worked so hard for so long to try and get to this point and a lot of it felt like it was taken away."

Grayson, who is also the Student Government Association President, says that although a virtual graduation won't take the place of an in-person one, he is still very grateful for the event.

"I'm just excited and honored to have all of these people come together try to make this moment feel special for us," he said.

The "Show Me Your Walk HBCU Edition" event has a lineup of a lot of well-known and accomplished celebrities. Barack Obama, Kevin Hart, Phylicia Rashad and Steve Harvey are just a few on that list.

This event is public, so anyone is welcome and Grayson hopes that those who aren't graduating will also choose to tune in. He thinks it'll be the perfect way to uplift and motivate everyone during this trying time.
