Chili cook-off for a good cause at 5th Annual Stars, Stripes & Chow Fundraiser

BALTIMORE — More than 500 people attended the 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday at South Point in Port Covington.

Eight teams competed to be crowned The Best Chili champion with several prizes from judge's favorite, people's choice, to best decorated booth.

“All the event money raised today goes to The Baltimore Station. We are a residential and community outreach program focusing on men, primarily veterans, who are suffering from homelessness, substance abuse disorder.” Said The Baltimore Station’s Board President, Christie Walsh-Meyers.

The Baltimore Station helps its residents develop life skills and more easily transition into permanent housing and the workforce.
