BALTIMORE — A Baltimore courthouse is getting closer to having a new name.
The Baltimore City Council passed its final hearing on Monday, to change the name of the Courthouse East building.
Its new name could be The Elijah Cummings Courthouse, in honor of the late Maryland congressman.
Cummings died on October 17, at 68.
Courthouse East is located at 111 North Calvert Street.
