BALTIMORE — Baltimore City lawmakers will introduce a bill tonight that will honor the late Elijah E. Cummings.

The bill states the renaming of the Courthouse East Building to be the Elijah E. Cummings Courthouse.

He represented Maryland's 7th Congressional district from 1996 until his death.

Cummings died on October 17, at the age of 68 due to complications from longstanding health challenges.

The introduction for the bill will be held Monday night at city hall.
