Baltimore City is looking for a new company to manage and improve Pier 6 Pavilion in the Inner Harbor.
The city's deal with Cordish expires at the end of the year, and the Baltimore Development Corporation hopes a new firm can fund improvements like a new sounds system and more seating. The new management company would also be in charge of booking and promoting "family friendly live entertainment" and music groups for the outdoor venue.
“The Pier 6 Pavilion, with its panoramic views, has played host to some of the biggest names the entertainment across all genres -- rock, jazz, classical, hip-hop and R&B,” said William H. Cole, president & CEO of the Baltimore Development Corporation in a news release. “Its proximity to Inner Harbor, downtown and numerous attractions makes this an even more attractive destination for the nearly 14 million people visiting the area annually.”
Baltimore Development Corporation says all proposals are due on Monday, April 11 by 12 p.m.
