BALTIMORE — City Council President Brandon Scott is tailoring how the city council focuses it work.

He released a policy on Wednesday on what he wants the council to focus on over the next year and a half.

There are four main categories: transparency and accountability, public safety and economic development, youth education, and opportunity and equity.

"The best legislation is that which originates as a solution to a problem," Scott said. "The best policy is that which accounts for the live experience for those whom it will impact. The best government is one that invites its residents into the conversation."

Scott wants your input on the policy as well as what the city council can do for you. He will be holding nine town hall meetings, the first being next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Cherry Hill Elementary School.
