Crosstown shootings left three injured, including a teen and man shot in the head

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two Tuesday night crosstown shootings.

10:35 p.m.

Officers reported to the scene of a shooting in the 2200 block of Ashton Street of Southwest Baltimore's Carrollton Ridge neighborhood. There, they found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The teen was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

11: 20 p.m.

Eastern District officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1100 block of McAleer Court. On the scene, officers discovered two shooting victims, a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and a 27-year-old male who was shot the leg.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals where the 24-year-old victim is listed in critical condition.

Police said, due to the severity of the 24 -year-old male's condition, Homicide detectives have been notified.
