The Baltimore City Department of Transportation has delayed enforcing 'Block the Box' violations.
Police officers were supposed to begin issuing warnings on Tuesday to drivers who block intersections, but a spokesperson with the Department of Transportation told WMAR-2 News it decided to delay its enforcement.

The spokesperson did not clarify why the enforcement was delayed.
The effort is part of a comprehensive traffic safety campaign aimed at reducing the number of accidents in the city and make it safer for pedestrians.
