BALTIMORE — People had to change the way they celebrate special events because of the pandemic.
On Wednesday, there was a special birthday celebration for Bishop Leroy Cannady, Sr.
He turned 98 years young.
A celebration was held outside his home in the Penn-Lucy area.
"I feel just fine. I feel alright. I can still walk. I don't have any pains, aches and I guess a short way of saying it, I don't take any medicine of any kind. I don't take it because the doctor says I don't need it."
Bishop Cannady founded Refuge Way of The Cross Church in 1958. He retired two years ago.
