The boys of the Dunbar High School football team received some special recognition at City Hall on Wednesday.
The team beat Fort Hill to take the Class 1A State title earlier this month and Mayor Catherine Pugh congratulated them on all their success.

She is also expected to give them special medals for their accomplishment.
Coach Lawrence Smith said, "It was a great, wonderful year. We broke a lot of records along the way. We started out slow but we kept going."
Team quarterback, Jared Lewis, presented Mayor Pugh with the game winning ball.
