Dunkin' Donuts donates $1,000 to Maryland Food Bank

Posted

The Maryland Food Bank received a $1,000 check Wednesday from Dunkin' Donuts.

The bank feeds more than 675,000 people across Maryland.

"We know that people are in need 365 days a year, but they feel it most during the holidays," said Laura Urban, senior director of giving at the Maryland Food Bank. "We say: 'It's not a holiday when you're hungry.' And so, to have food to distribute, to have funds to support our work is really critical."

The donation was part of Dunkin' Donuts "Brewing Joy" program. The company plans to donate more than $25,000 to organizations that help children in 25 cities across the U.S.
