Election update shows Brandon Scott in the lead over Shelia Dixon to become Baltimore's next mayor

BALTIMORE — As election officials continue to count ballots, the numbers show a different candidate in the lead to become Baltimore's next mayor.

The state election website posted the most recent results showing Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott with a 1.7 percent lead.

Scott tops Dixon with a 2,358 vote advantage, placing him at 42,528 to Dixon's 40,170.
