Family of Holocaust survivor honors armed forces

BALTIMORE — The family of a holocaust survivor honors the military forces who liberated nearly 75 years ago.

Esther Pasternack Grausz, a Hungarian Jew survived multiple Nazi camps and the death march before being liberated on April 27, 1945.

Before she did, her family promised to pay tribute to the people who helped free her and others from the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.

On Thursday, Grausz' family presented a plaque of thanks to hang in the Myerberg Senior Center as well as a $1,000 donation for activities in support of veterans.
