BALTIMORE — Ten people have tested positive for COVID-19 at two different Baltimore area nursing homes.

The Baltimore City Health Department said on Tuesday that there are five confirmed cases among residents and staff at the FutureCare-Cold Spring facility.

It's unclear how many of the five are staff and how many are residents. Two however are hospitalized.

Then on Wednesday, officials said there were five confirmed cases at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital in Northwest Baltimore. One case is a patient in the specialty hospital and three others are patients in the sub-acute rehab unit. One staff member has also tested positive and is in self quarantine.

Currently no visitors are allowed at either nursing home.

The city’s health department said it’s following up to see who else may have come into contact with those infected.

This is a developing story.
