Freddie Gray trials to cost Baltimore City $7.4 million

The trials of four officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray will cost Baltimore City an estimated $7.4 million according to the mayor's office.

The mayor's office director of public affairs Anthony McCarthy confirmed that Baltimore City alone will be responsible for covering the $7,471,785 cost associated with the trials.

The cost includes the mistrial of Officer William Porter as well as the acquittals of Officer Edward Nero, Officer Caesar Goodson, and Lt. Brian Rice.
