BALTIMORE — A new bank opened in Baltimore on Monday with an official ribbon cutting.
Fulton Bank celebrated the opening of their new financial center in the city and Congressman Elijah Cummings says this is empowering people in the area.
"I like the literacy program that you got going on, I like the mortgage center, I love it," said Congressman Cummings. "In my office we have literally saved thousands from foreclosures, and I have sat with people and watch them cry because they thought they were going to lose their house. So these support systems are so very, very important."
The new financial center is on North Wolfe Street in East Baltimore.
