BALTIMORE — In an announcement Sunday, federal workers affected by the partial shutdown can continue to travel using the transit for free.

Last week, Governor Larry Hogan launched #MDHelps to support furloughed workers.

The free transit service has been extended to federal employees who show their government ID using MARC, Commuter Bus, and BaltimoreLink services, including: CityLink, LocalLink, Express BusLink, Light RailLink, and Metro SubwayLink.

The free transit service will on Friday, February 1, 2019.
