BALTIMOR — New life breathed into Broadway on Wednesday as the shiny new market officially opened its doors.

Right in the heart of Fells Point, the market is now full of food vendors with a state of the art bar right in the middle. The lineup is stacked with everything from Thai food, to chicken and waffles, Indian street food, and an ice cream spot. Mayor Jack Young called it a big win for the city.

“They are hiring people who live in the community. They have a mixture of minority and women owned businesses in here that previously they didn’t have,” said Mayor Jack Young.

“The traffic is awesome here, people are coming in for lunch late drinks and stuff so. Business has been pretty good,” said Salvador Ayala of Sal and Sons.

Get out there and check it out! They are open until 10 p.m. during the week and 11 p.m. on weekends. Later in the summer of 2019, the other part of the market is expected to open as a giant 250 seat seafood restaurant.
