Groundbreaking for an apartment building at Baltimore's Station North arts and entertainment district was held Tuesday.
Congressman Elijah Cummings and actor Wendell Pierce of "The Wire" showed their support for the project.
The Nelson Kohl apartment building will offer urban living for artists in one of Baltimore's most artistic neighborhoods.
The project is expected to create 180 construction jobs with the finished building holding 103 units.
The building should be finished by late fall 2017.
