BALTIMORE — In response to the recent violence in the city, the Fraternal Order of Police is preparing a comprehensive strategy of their own, according to a statement released by the FOP.

Their full statement can be read below.

"As the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department are losing faith in our elected and appointed leaders, the Baltimore City FOP is taking the unprecedented step of preparing a comprehesive strategy to make Baltimore a much safer place to live, work and visit. Unlike the "current plan", our strategy will be based on the vast knowledge and experience of current and former members of the Baltimore Police Department. Our plan will be completed within 30 days, after which it will be given to the Police Commissioner, the Mayor and the Governor"

A spokesperson for Mayor Jack Young's office had no comment on the FOP's statement.
