The Institute of Notre Dame celebrates the longest-serving woman in Congress Thursday.
Former Sen. Barbara Mikulski graduated from The Institute of Notre Dame, a Catholic high school, in 1954.
Her alma mater will celebrate with a program in her honor and the performance of a special song composed by the school choir.
Mikulski will attend the Barbara Mikulski Day celebration and listen to the song composed in honor of her retirement.

The event begins at 11 a.m and ends at noon.
The Institute of Notre Dame is located at 901 Aisquith St. in Baltimore.
