Jury selection began in the corruption trial of two Baltimore Police officers accused of extortion and robbery.

Detectives Daniel Hersl and Marcus Taylor are the remaining two of eight officers originally indicted in a sweeping corruption scandal.

The jury panel started with 74 potential jurors Monday morning and has been whittled down all day.

This trial is expected to go 3 to 4 weeks and the jury will decide if Hersl and Taylor are guilty of using their badge to rob and extort Baltimore citizens.

At least four other detectives from that unit who have already pleaded guilty may testify against their former partners in this trial.
