Various organizations and over 200 volunteers gathered in McCulloh Homes Saturday to build the community’s very first playground.
Building began at 8 a.m. and concluded with a ribbon cutting ceremony, dedicating the site and signifying the opening of the new playground.
Since 1996, KaBOOM has been specializing in giving kids, mainly those that live in poverty, a childhood they deserve.
The new playground is said to give more than 500 kids in Baltimore the play-filled childhood they deserve.
The design of the playground came from various children's drawings created at a special design event in June.
