BALTIMORE, Md. — The Kennedy Krieger Institute has illuminated their Outpatient Center and Baltimore City Hall in honor of World Autism Day.
City representatives and Kennedy Krieger staff, patients and their families lit up the center to spotlight autism, a developmental disorder affecting as many as 1 in 59 children and adults in the United States.
The City of Baltimore and Kennedy Krieger Institute wanted to recognize the millions of families with a loved one or family member on the autism spectrum through this special kick-off initiative.
