BALTIMORE — Some kids have been stuck inside during the pandemic and others in our area found a way to get out for 30 minutes today.

They took a guided, historic walking tour through the Ashburton and Forest Park neighborhoods in Baltimore.

Students from the Beth Tfiloh Dahan school took part -- along with kids from the Liberty Grace Church.

The students partnered with Temple X schools for the event and created an app to guide them on the tour and teach them about the historical significance of the neighborhoods.

"We have two rockstars. Stacey and Chloe who are the two girls in the story. And we're just telling the story of their friendship during a time of kind of migration for African Americans in Baltimore and also a migration for Jews to Baltimore County," said Terris King II, Head of Temple X Schools.

The students created the app over the course of several weeks and Towson University officials helped them.
