If you take the Edmondson Avenue Bridge in Baltimore, expect some congestion and delays this week.

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation says starting on Monday, temporary lane closures will be implemented around the Edmondson Avenue Bridge for construction.

The construction will continue until Friday and will affect the right lane of westbound Edmondson Avenue. That lane will be closed daily along the bridge from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

In addition, the ramp from westbound Edmondson Avenue to northbound Hilton Parkway will also be closed daily during this time with detours in effect.  Signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure, and traffic trying to access northbound Hilton Parkway should follow the detour route via Hilton Street.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity may experience congestion and delays and are encouraged to plan ahead by allowing additional commute time.
