BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police have arrested a man accused of a November 4 armed robbery at a Rite Aid on W. Northern Parkway.

Darnell Gaither, 25, allegedly walked through the store then, placed a candy bar and note on the front counter.

The note said Gaither was armed and demanded that the clerk give him money.

Gaither then allegedly lifted his shirt and showed the cashier part of a handgun that he had in his waistband.

The worker gave Gaither around $300 before he fled the scene.

After reviewing store surveillance and interviewing witnesses, detectives were able to identify Gaither as the suspect.

On Monday, Gaither was taken into custody on an arrest warrant charging him with armed robbery and multiple gun offenses. He's currently being held without bail.
