BALTIMORE — Students are back in school and a lot of them are without air conditioners.

That's why in August, the Baltimore Teacher's Union put a call out for fans. One man who said he's been charmed by Charm City, stepped in to help.

Khan Dhillon purchased 500 fans and donated them to 11 schools on Wednesday. Dhillon said that he did this because he's upset with the state of schools.

"When I find that in today's day and age the school system isn't able to provide adequate environment relative to temperature for the children to learn and for the teacher's to teach properly, sorry but that kind of third world state is very bothersome to me and that's being delicate," Dhillon said.

Dhillon is using the Union Baptist Church as a distribution point and says any school that needs fans can call and pick them up.

He also says that when the fans run out, he'll restock.
