Man died from shooting injures to his upper body in East Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating an early morning homicide on the city's Eastside.

It was 6:18 a.m., when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for a reported shooting in the 400 block of E. 21st Street. On the scene, officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where where he died from his injuries.

On June 4, police identified the victim as 54-year-old Donnie Walton. Walton resided in the 400 block of E. 21st Street.
