Man shot in the hand in Brooklyn, ran into store for help

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured on the south side.

At 3:07 p.m. officers were called to the unit block of Talbot Road in Brooklyn after a “Shot Spotter” alert detected gunfire.

According to the department, officers found a 26 year-old man near the intersection of Washburn Avenue and Potee Steert.

It was reported that he suffered from a gunshot wound to the hand and ran to a nearby business for assistance.

Officials said, he ran inside of a local Family Dollar store to get help.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Southern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
