Maryland Book Bank van gets a makeover

BALTIMORE — The van used by the Maryland Book Bank that was stolen over the summer and then returned now has a new look.

The van used to be white and featured graphics on the sides. Now, it has new graphics, but is a mix of purple, blue and white.

After it was stolen, the Book Bank's white van had "Van Go" spray painted on the hood and its rear window smashed. That was also addressed with the repairs.

There's also a new ignition lock since the van was returned without a key.

The van is normally parked near the back loading dock of the book bank's facility in the Clipper Mill area.

It's used for picking up and dropping off books for kids in Baltimore who need them.
