More people are living and working in Downtown Baltimore.
According to the 2016 Downtown Partnership State of Downtown Baltimore Report, the number of jobs in the blocks between Light and Pratt Streets jumped to more than 122,000 last year.
That is up 3,500 jobs from 2015 - when the area saw a decrease in jobs.
Downtown comprises less than 4 percent of Baltimore’s total square mileage, but contains more than one third of the city’s jobs.
A report from earlier this month shows the city's population at a near 100-year low, but the number of people living in Downtown Baltimore grew to nearly 43,000 people in 2016 - up about 500 residents from 2015.
