BALTIMORE — Officials with the National Aquarium say they have lost $12 million during the pandemic.

The National Aquarium issued a statement saying this pandemic has been one of the most difficult challenges they've ever faced, but they remain focused on their mission to inspire future generations.

"We are encouraged by the positive response we have received for our safety modifications and that visitation is ahead of our revised projections," the statement continues. "We have been a significant part of the tourism fabric of this city for 40 years. We’re confident that we’ll continue to be for the next 40 and we'll get through this difficult time together."
