Night to Shine prom held for the first time at Baltimore City school

BALTIMORE — For the first time, Baltimore City Schools is hosting a Night to Shine at William S Baer School!

“I’m having fun," a guest named Desmond said. "I walked on the red carpet im having fun!”

This unforgettable prom experience is for people with special needs ages 14 and older.

“We are loving on the guests, we are just showing them gods love," Organizer Alisha Williams said. "It’s the week before Valentines Day.”

It's held across the country and is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

“Seeing them all dressed up and just so excited about having the opportunity to engage the same the way that their typical peers do,"William S Baer School Principal Zulema Sockwell Moore said. "They deserve the opportunity to be able to receive quality instruction and also quality recreation.”

All guests receive the royal treatment to prepare for the night of fun! There's also a red carpet and of course dancing!

This is the sixth anniversary of Night to Shine!
