BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two crosstown shootings Wednesday afternoon.
5:17 p.m.
Officers in Southwest Baltimore responded to a reported shooting in the 3300 block of Wilkens Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old woman was shot in her thigh.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives later learned that she was shot in the 3300 block of Frederick Avenue and fled to the Wilkens Avenue location after to call police.
5:57 p.m.
After receiving a “Shot Spotter” alert, officer responded to the 200 block of North Spring Street in East Baltimore.
When they arrived, they searched the area and found a 30-year-old man with shooting injuries in the 1400 block of East Preston Street. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died shortly after arriving.
