One person killed, another injured in Baltimore shootings on Saturday

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating after one person was killed and another injured in separate shootings on Saturday.

On Saturday at about 5:55 p.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of Tioga Parkway for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old Miles Izzard with gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim died from his injuries at an area hospital. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are investigating this incident.

A couple of hours later at about 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of W. Patapsco Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they were unable to find a shooting victim.

A short time later, officers were called to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. When officers arrived, they found a 19-year old man being treated for a gunshot wound to his back.

Investigators believe the victim was in the 100 block of W. Patapsco Avenue when he was shot. Detectives from the Southern District are investigating this incident.
