MOUNT WASHINGTON, Md. — Patients at the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital received a special treat on Thursday as the hospital's child life department held a Halloween costume parade and trick or treating.

Spirit Halloween donated all of the kid's costumes. They dressed up as everything from superheroes to princesses.

"All of the kids love this. Its really important because a lot of the families and caregivers cant go out to get costumes so this gives them an opportunity to dress up and just to be normal like a kid would be outside of the hospital going trick or treating on Halloween," said Sr Child life specialist, Kim Adkins.

Staff members also took part in the tradition as well, decorating their departments to get in the spirit of Halloween!
