BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police arrested and charged a man for the death of his infant daughter.
According to the department, 22 year-old Quar'ran Allen has been charged with first-degree murder.
On the night of May 28, at 9:38 p.m., officers responded to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics for a report of an unresponsive infant. Police said medical personnel had pronounced the baby deceased.
Homicide detectives responded to the Hospital, where they interviewed the family of the infant.
Following an external examination, investigators noticed bruising to the infants body. The infants body was transported to the Medical Examiners office where an autopsy was conducted.
The next day, officers arrested Allen for the murder of his two month old daughter, Elsie Cottman. The infant was killed in the home where she lived in the 3600 block of Gibbons Avenue.
Medical Examiners ruled this case a homicide caused by blunt forced trauma.
