BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A body was found submerged in the water in Southeast Baltimore Thursday morning.

Officers were initially called to the 1300 block of Thames Street around 8 a.m. for a car in the water.

No car was found but a man's body was.

Members of the department's marine unit recovered the body and believe it may have been in the water for several days.

Right now detectives are investigating the death as questionable.

The Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
