Pokemon Go is all the rage, but, it’s been causing issues here in Baltimore as people have been concentrating on the game more than their own safety.
Baltimore Police said a driver distracted by the Pokemon Go app crashed into a parked patrol car Monday.
Police are warning people to keep alert while walking and driving. Also, this month, two separate robberies happened because people were not paying attention to their surroundings.
Both officers and residents are worried.
“If you're walking, be mindful of where you're walking and where you're going because there are using this Pokemon game to catch you," said T.J. Smith, spokesperson for the Baltimore City Police Department.
"You're going to have to concentrate and how can you concentrate on that if you're driving, you could kill someone," said resident Barbara Garrett.
Charges are pending for the suspects involved in those robberies.
Police also want parents to tell their teens to be aware of their surroundings while driving.
